20th April 2012.
I registered for this run after hesitating for... 2 hours. Because it was $40, RM 130 for a run. Something I will never sign up for in Malaysia. But somehow, I gave in for this run, I find it too special. Haha!
I joined Siok Yee and her group of crazy and awesome friends for the night. They are really friendly people. Really enjoy being with them even though that day was the first day that I got to know them :)
We were given a head band (well, obviously it became wristbands), a glow in the dark necklace (glow sticks made into a necklace lol) and a glow shirt :) Guess which one is me! Haha! Initially I got a green headband and I didn't like it, I wanted the blue one, Alia got a blue one and she didn't like it, she wanted a green one. Lol. So yes, its a mutual swap! My hand is the right-most one. The tan-est one.
AVATAR! Hahaha! I look really weird in blue but Siokyee still looks so cute! :D Our glow in the dark shirts!
It was a 10 degree night and we're wearing only a shirt. Mygosh you cannot imagine how cold it is. Cannot stop shivering. Haha! And there were girls who wore only a cropped top and shorts. I salute them. Totally salute them. We ran 5k around Yarra River with 3 stops in between. Its not a competitive run, its more of a run and stop-to-part run. But we all decided to finish the run first and then party in the end. The run wasn't hard to complete, the hard part was trying to avoid bumping into people, bicycles and maybe.. trucks -___-
The after-run party. DJs were invited to rule the night. People dancing and going mad everywhere! To be honest, this is not really my type of place. I am not really a party person.
But overall, I really had a really great day! :D Met so many awesome people and had my first run in Melbourne on such a cold day even! Went out for pancakes at 11pm. Oh yea, and the awesome brunch at South Melbourne too!
A better photo of Siok Yee and me earlier that day @ St. Ali, South Melbourne. Thank you Siok Yee, for letting me join you and your friends for the night! :D And thanks for letting me crash at your place too! Haha! It has definitely been a long time since our last meet up. Hopefully we'll be able to hang out more before you leave Melbourne :))
P/s. Most photos are also from Siok Yee's Facebook. Hehh!
