The End of 2013

You have been a good year to me.
All the ups and downs I had to go through, every single one of those lessons taught me so much. Maybe even more than what I'm expecting to get from you.

Thank you.

January taught me to be happy and to appreciate the good times with my friends and my family. I remember saying "January was great. A good start to this new year".

February taught me how to appreciate the presence of my loved ones and most importantly, how to say goodbye. Goodbye has never been easy and we all know that. But most of the times, I guess we have to say goodbye so we can actually look forward to our next meet :)

March. I was taught to be more easygoing. We can't always be calculative. Being calculative kills literally every single relationship. I chose to let myself be happier and for my friends to be more joyful.

April told me that not everybody is given a chance to go for their dreams. I tried so hard looking for a job but none of fruitful. So now, I am trying to grasp my chance at everything. If I want something, I guess I'll have to make my move instead of waiting, and waiting and wait some more.

May said to go out more, to explore and to widen my horizons. Oh, and definitely time management. I definitely tried more things than last year. Went out so much more often to chillax rather than just complaining about the work I had to do. I guess it was a better move.

June taught me to weigh the risks and benefits of everything I have to do. There are pros and cons in everything we do. There are some risks that we have to take, as long as we know that at the end of the day, we are happy with our decision :)

July wanted me to communicate better with others. Be patient, be more tolerant. Communication is the key to maintaining better relationships. And it really works, because I'm pretty close to my housemate now, compared to how we used to be :)

August gave me a job at a restaurant. I faced so many new challenges in this month. It was so tiring. Really really tiring and pretty stressful at the start. But I told myself, I needed the money. I also needed the experience. Not only that, I told myself, I cannot waste my time watching dramas any more. I should do something about it.

September showed me that life is fragile. Time flies and people change. The person that I last saw in March has become a person that I could not even recognised after half a year. It shook me hard when I realized that, when I go home one day, I will not see her at home any more. I was taught to be strong.

October came just as harsh as September. October said life shouldn't be easy. There are down-hills that I have to go through despite the consequences. I have to brace myself and pull my socks and get myself over hurdle after hurdle. And I still believe that everything happens for a reason.

November, november. November gave me the chance to be nice to myself. Enjoyed a meal out now and then, enjoyed a few day trips with my friends and most importantly, I was happy. Happy to be able to enjoy the good days after the bad.

December. The most important month. December taught me to love. To give more and take less. To do things out of love instead of responsibility. To be able to care for myself and at the same time care for those I care about. I find this lesson the most important one of the year.

2013 has been a great year. Thank you. Thank you so much :) And now its time to close the book.
So.. 2014, I guess I am ready for you. I hope we'll get along really well. If not as well as 2013, then I hope its better! I'll see you in 45 minutes! :D

Return.

Its time to go back to my life in Melbourne. Honestly, I can't say I don't miss it because I really do. I am glad that I have the chance to come back for 11 days and I'm glad that I was able to help out in some ways.

I don't want to say goodbye. It will be so hard this time. Although its only 7 weeks this time but I am sure it will feel like 7 years. We don't know if we have the time. I don't want to be prepared. I want to be able to come home and see your face all the time.

我不舍得。
不舍得道别,更不舍得离开。
因为。。
我不能确保这不是最后的道别。

I've been really teary since this morning. And it was worse than when I first left for Melbourne last year. Because this time, I don't know what to expect when I come back. I know I am being too negative, being too stubborn but then again, I can't force myself to believe that everything will be the same.

I guess what I can say now is,
"Let's fight against the odds."
I'll do my best to be more positive and I hope you will believe in yourself too. I promise I will skype you more often. I promise I will call home once I have time to spare.
I hope, we can all go and enjoy our family trip together this December.

Stay strong :')

Be Positive.

I just had the most challenging week of my life. I had family matters to attend to, I had tests and assignments due and so many other things. The challenge started last Friday when my cousin Joshua (I still prefer to call him Kah Meng) and his mum (my aunt) came to Melbourne for a trip. Met up with them right after my morning class and went around Melbourne until the night greeted us. And within the week that they were here, we met up quite a few times and had quite some laughs. Feels like the good old days when he used to be my closest cousin. We used to talk on the phone for hours when he was at Perth about...8 years back. Lol. But we drifted apart ever since I started high school. Still, we (Hsuen, Kah Meng and I) always look forward to our movie outings in Penang every CNY! :) Anyways, I'm really glad they came. I hoped they enjoyed Melbourne just as much as how I loved living here as a student!

Thanks for the mooncake delivery! :D
Told my parents to get me a few mooncakes, manatau they got me four of the same flavour. Aiyoh! All lotus seed -_- Mooncakes with egg yolks won't be able to cross the immigration so I told them to get some special flavours that don't have the yolks, but still! FOUR Lotus Seeds. Lol. Okla, still, thank you! It is definitely better than nothing :D

Saturday. I spent my Saturday at my cousin sister, Rey's birthday party... As a face-painter for ALL the kids that came. Rey's the girl on the right. So yea, I drew those. I have no idea why there is a splat of black on her forehead, it is NOT a failed attempt at drawing a bird. My seagulls are really nice and elegant as you can see! :P I had a busy day drawing all sorts of face paintings for the kids. I was really glad that the kids liked them or else I'd be so embarrassed. Although I sort of wasted a study day, I am still glad because well.. Its a totally new experience. Not everyone gets to be a face-painter for the day!

Tests and assignments. Study life. Student life. Its always filled with these anyways, aren't they? More tests next week. How "awesome" I know. I know I am sick of studying but at the same time I am also aware that if I don't study hard now, I am going to regret it sooner or later!

Work. This time I'll change a line. I have plans on spending my hard-earned money now! Lol. But aiyoh, like not enough leh. At first it was just one, now have to buy two. What to do? Some people are just so demanding *gives the -,-" face* Now I understand how it feels to spend that hard-earn money. The heartache yes, but I guess it will be worth it :)

Okla, study time :) Have been really positive these few days. I hope I can keep this up!

A race against myself.

They say you are the enemy to yourself. Because, nobody else knows how much you want it, nobody else knows how far you are willing to go for your dreams. Only you know that, and only you stand between you and your dreams. Everything else is just some random obstacles that you will face along the route to your future.

I am having a race against myself, a race against time, a race against who I want to be.

- this is my calculator cover, if you are wondering -

At first I thought that it was because I am working now, that's why I feel the need to race against time for every single thing but I guess that might not be the case as most of my friends who are not working are also facing the same situation.

I don't know how much I want this, I don't know how far I can go but I will go as far as I can. People kept telling me to quit my job because I am starting to get really stressed. But the fact is, if I quit now, I have 20 hours extra to slack every week. What is the point? I know myself well when it comes to slacking. I need something to push me on. I need to feel the stress to keep going.

I need to do better.
I need the family to know that they can have one less person to worry about.

Life has always been a race, isn't it?
And we should not stop fighting.

“时间过得真快。。。

。。。转眼又来到了课外活动的一天。 这个星期六又课外活动,谢谢!”

Lol.

That was what my primary school's "副校长" will say every second Monday during the assembly. Never changed, not even once throughout the years he was in charge of the co-curriculum. Haha! Memories, memories :P

But yea, TIME, WHY SO FAST? Okla, time only passes really fast when I am out of the lecture hall. When I am in the lectures, time is crawling like a snail. My attention span is really short, like 5 minutes only. I can only pay attention when lecturers introduce the lecture, after that, I enter my "wander"land. Sien ahhh!

I think my dad bought my ticket back home. It is definitely something to look forward to :) It won't be that long, since half the semester is almost gone already. Half a semester nearer to the final exams! CRIES! I miss the people back home. They have been strong. They have been fighting hard. I wish I was there.

To end this post, here's a video. Production of Pink Pte Ltd! *APPLAUSE!*
ShaoQian wrote the lyrics when we were two weeks away from our final exams. He showed me the lyrics and I nagged him for wasting time on such silly things. Who knew he said he wanted to make a video out of it, I responded "I confirm support you. Go study lah!" manatau he got better results than me and really did make a video out of it towards the end of our winter break. Lol. *nofaceliao*
***
The beginning was kinda lame but the second half was quite touching in the sense that it was part of everyone's memories together. Really, I know I will never meet anyone like them ever again in my life. The Pinks (used to be Yellows - we changed shirts! LOL!!) are the people whom I shared my ups and downs with in St John. We tease each other, we curse each other, but at the end of the day, we all laugh together. We're all walking different paths now but I guess, what's most important is that we all shared the same memories. The best memories in our high school life :) Miss you guys a real lot!

Wow.

Wednesday - Chicken Day. You cannot imagine how crazy it is to work in a kitchen on the day when the week's load of chicken comes in. Ermahgerd. But nice boss is nice boss. Although my name is spelt wrongly but hey, they don't speak chinese, so its good enough! :D This was what I got after work, a bowl of tomyum soup, a bowl of Thai version of "tang yuan", mango and chocolate. Wow. I was kinda shocked. I guess I'm lucky to have such nice bosses. Lol.

Yea, sure, I work like a "gu li", work until I'm completely worn out and I'm underpaid, but I guess not one job is perfect :) Hopefully I can juggle between my studies and work well. I need to push my limits and be better!

More.

My Saturday was rather eventful I guess. I joined the Great Melbourne Race with YenJun. We thought it was a team of 2 people and we were so excited about it. Manatau when we went to the Arrow On Swanston yesterday, they sorted us into another group. A group of 5. Tbh, that morning itself, we wanted to play, have fun and TRY to win. Aiyoh. No more loh, because the rest in our group sort of took it slow and not-so-steady. But I guess it was fun in the sense that we got to meet new people :) We got to do silly silly things and laughed together. It was a pretty awesome day :DD

A picture after the race. Look at my tired face and messy hair while YenJun looks so fresh and energized! Haha!

Finally! I got a taste of Wonderbao!
Taro Bao, Nai Wong Bao and Braised Pork Belly Gua Bao! *yums!*
I want Lao Sha Bao! Lol! Miss it like madddd!
Heard of Wonderbao last year, wanted to go and try it but Idk how and why, I managed to resist it. But the urge to try came back last month and I finally brought myself there to give it a go. It was a little pricey and yea, it was overrated. It was such a big deal on Urbanspoon. The baos were  really nice, but not super-uber-duper awesome until I lose myself.

My uni work is slowly starting to pile up. I am pretty screwed and its only the second week of the semester. Whoopsies! Time to pick up pace. Where's my sense of time management when I need it?! :/

累垮了

Second day at work.
I stink of stir-fry, curry, onions, garlic, deep fry etc.
My back aches from all the standing/bending/turning.
I am physically + mentally tired.
But the best part of the day is when I receive my pay at the end of the day! :)

Today's I mean yesterday was my second day and honestly, I've never done any of whatever I've done in these two days for the past 20 years of my life. It is all eye-popping, jaw-dropping, head-smacking stuff. So, this is how its like to work in a restaurant kitchen. I've learned a whole big deal, seriously.

But its all so energy consuming! Have to really learn how to juggle between my studies and work now. Reaching home at 12am for 3 days straight with classes early next morning is quite harder than I thought. I couldn't wake up for my class yesterday morning -_- And homework/assignments! No more excuses to slack I guess.

Anyways, its already 1.15am now. Should start working on my assignments while I'm still determined. Hopefully I don't hover my mouse to my drama folder and start watching unproductive stuff again! Must make this work! The feeling of being able to at least support part of my expenses is really awesome :)

Lazy Sunday.

Felt so full/uncomfortable (probably indigestion -___-) after coming home from a friend's house. I caught the last tram of the night (at 1.23am) home from the city and had slept at 5am because I was feeling thaaaaat uncomfortable. I should ALWAYS remember this feeling and remind myself how bad it felt after overeating.

Woke up, diligent cells weren't working so RunningMan dominated my afternoon. I must say this, Kim Jongkook is so useless when it comes to football. So much for his muscles. Mehh..

Wanted to cook zucchini soup but the rice cakes in the fridge caught my eye. Lol! So.... Mission of the day:

Voila! Ddeokbokki a success yo! *proud face!* The actual colour is redder than the picture but not red/hot enough. Didn't add enough chilli pepper powder. But I'm still satisfied :D Hahaha!

My best one hour spent for today. ♥
I love my unlimited internet! Haha! Can finally Skype without borders! Miss them so much! Everyone at home is so stressed lately. I'm glad that they could finally find time to talk to me :)
I think everything should be almost back to normal now. I hope everything is ok now :)

I'll be very useless if I sleep now, right? :( Maybe I should at least read through a few pages of my lecture notes. An early good night to everyone :)

A whole new semester.

Andd.. I have yet to receive my results for last semester. Oh nozzzz! At least I know I didn't fail! *sends my silent thank you(s)* I'll do better this semester! (I hope!)

It was a really short and quite-stressed start of the semester. We had only 3 days of lectures this week and well.. the stuff taught these 3 days were pretty confusing already. Ow mannn! I shall rajin "telan" lecture recordings this semester! (calling all diligent cells in me, please cast your spell and make me study!)

* * *

Eating clean is so damn hard for people like me. I am a sucker for chocolates, burgers (not the McD/KFC burgers), ice-cream and savoury food. I'm a serious loser when presented with food. I. Can. Never. Say. No. To. Food! Even though I stopped buying all these food, I still order them when I'm out with my friends. Really hate my determination sometimes.

On the other hand, my friends said there was a noticeable difference in my size. HAHAHA! *blush!* My legs are thinner, which, I must thank public transport for being so damn expensive that I walk an average of 10+km to and fro my destinations instead of taking public transport. Since I have all the time in the world during the holidays! Now that I think of it, I think the only change is my legs because I don't do anything else besides walking. I don't jog any more because of all the people with their unleashed dogs in the neighbourhood. I am not afraid to admit that I am afraid of dogs. Correction, I am VERY afraid of dogs. Especially hyperactive and too-friendly dogs. I do find dogs cute, but only those that are leashed and those that never seem to notice my presence are the cutest. The rest that comes at me, be prepared to hear my scream. Anyways, I think a slight progress is still progress. Now all I need to do is to master my mind and control myself from indulging in all the sugary food.

* * *

I got a part-time job nowwww. Not in a pharmacy, 3 pharmacies rejected me, AGAIN. I seriously give up on getting a pharmacy job. So... This is a job at a Thai restaurant. Although the pay is lower than pharmacy jobs but having an income is better than no income and I am happy for that! :)

Starting work next Tuesday! The first part-time job of my life!
I know I am a blessed kid to not having to ever worry about getting a part-time job in my teenage years. I am grateful for that. But did you realize how spoilt and rotten I was because I've never been out of my comfort zone? And because I've never had any working experience that no pharmacies are willing to hire me which is really very depressing somehow. And worse, I don't even know if I can last in this job. I am worried that I'll be too stressed having to balance between my studies and also work. I am not even sure if I can handle the working environment! This is all really, really, really new to me. I have no idea what to expect, really.

I got this job because my housemate, Trang, is working at this restaurant and she knows I'm looking for a job. So she asked her boss and talked so highly of me that the boss decided to give me a chance. I didn't even have to ask the boss if he is hiring nor did I handed in my resume, it was all thanks to Trang.

I hope I can do this all the way till the day I go back for summer. I hope I am strong enough to be able to cope with everything! Wish me luck yo! I'm gonna need all the luck I can get!

* * *

Till next time :)

End-break crisis.

My holidays end in.... three days. Five weeks ended, just like that. I did nothing really. Besides spending money, and more money. Wasting time, and more time. Tried job hunting, although not as aggressive as how I was last year but definitely more determined. Waiting for good news now I suppose..?

一波未平,一波又起
爱莫能助
Help is needed. Too far away to be of any help to others. That shitty feeling to not be able to share the burden. The messages beeping like mad looking for someone who is free to run the errands. Either they're busy working or there're too far away to do anything, like me. I'm ever so free here and yet I couldn't contribute. How I wish I could be home now.

Spend more time with your family always. Pay more attention to their needs. Don't be fooled by that one smile or that one "ok". Just press on and get the actual "No, I don't feel ok and I need help" reply.

Really. Cherish every moment.

* * *

Let me show you the kiddy side of me.
Here, I collect the minions too. Come and judge me.
I don't want them all, I just want some that are cuter and more special. Like the one in the photo above. Unlike Malaysia where you have to queue HOURS AND HOURS to get the minion, nobody cares about them here. Just go to McD, there will never be more than 3 people lining in front of me and even so, none of them wanted the toy. And at most of the McDonalds here, you don't need to buy a happy meal to get a toy. They sell it individually. So I am not feeding myself fast-food and I still get what I want.
When I saw so many people scolding and criticizing those people who collect the minions, I was somewhat well... 对号入座 and felt kind of offended and didn't want to get them anymore. But then I realized, that wouldn't be me, right? I shouldn't change myself just because of what others say, unless its change for the betterment :)

* * *

It looks pretty disgusting, isn't it? All the green? It tastes really good though.
I am trying VERY HARD to eat clean. I've always wanted to change my lifestyle to a healthier one but its just very hard with all the negative thoughts and all the good food in front of me. And then, I saw all these people, most friends and people I know, setting a change in their lives and I feel more motivated to make a start. Pushing myself to exercise is easy, what's hard to control is my food cravings. It'll be very very slow, but I'm sure I will be able to do it eventually :)

Last year I used to buy biscuits, cheese spreads, nutella and all the sugary stuff. You can't eat what you didn't buy. So now, I stopped buying all of that. It is hard to not have anything to munch on. I'm always, always craving for something. I will still let myself off the hook sometimes to enjoy a little treat. Like the cake above - Mars Bars Cheesecake. Ok, maybe this treat is too much. Haha! I will balance it off somehow :)

One day, I'll be able to do it :)
Just wait!

July.

A photo taken at the end of each month showing end of Summer, mid Autumn and Winter. Mid winter now. I am half way through my winter break already. Time stops for no one.

4th of July. The new apartment is finally available, not ready but available. Will be moving in tomorrow! I am kinda excited! Tomorrow's gonna be a busy dayyy! Haha! I hope everything goes well tomorrow! :D

All this while that I was waiting for the apartment, I was staying at a friend's studio apartment at College Square, Swanston St. Nash "borrowed" me her apartment while she is back in Sabah. Thank you, Nash! :DD College Square is such an awesome + strategic place. So close to food heaven (Lygon), close to supermarkets and walking distance to the city. The only downside, I can never afford the rent. Lol. Its more than twice of what I am paying at the moment. Oh well, at least I get to "try" it for a few days! Haha! Good enough!

The happy-go-lucky mood is on. Feeling blessed to have so many nice people around me. Always making me laugh and always, always helping me even though I have nothing to give. A huge thank you to these awesome people in my life. I cherish all this and I won't take things for granted :)

Moving out.

Have been staying in this neighbourhood for a year. I remember how much I loved this house when Flo and I first inspected it early April last year. The price was fairly reasonable for the both of us as we were sharing rooms. It is not really that big, its.. 2.5 storeys to be exact. The top floor has a room, a bathroom and a mezzanine where Flo and I studied. First floor was the living room and the kitchen. Ground floor was the boys' room, their own bathroom, laundry room and the garage.

What I like about this house is that it actually feels like a home. A very comfy home. I go home everyday, throw my bag on the lazy chair, get a drink from the fridge, go up to my study area, sit and chill.

Sharing a room wasn't easy, to be honest. Sharing a room with my sister was easy because we have been doing so for 18+ years (minus the years that I was here) and our lifestyle is almost the same - besides the fact that I talk on the phone too often, for too long. But sharing a room with people from a totally different background wasn't easy. I'm thankful that I am a good sleeper. Lol. But despite all our differences, I am thankful for getting to know her and having her for a roommate. Because we had a lot of laughs throughout the past year and our pillow talk sessions. I'm definitely gonna miss that. I'm gonna miss her :')

Sharing a house with the boys ain't easy. But it was a good try. It was quite fun having Jiunkai as a housemate as we walk to uni together and we can discuss our assignments together. And because he was the only person I knew when I first reached Monash, we knew each other since we were 7y/o, we have quite some mutual friends and we can talk about our primary and secondary school stuff - I appreciate all these. Both of them are gentlemen. Lol. Every time, when the three of us (Flo, JK and I) go do our groceries with our ah-soh-looking trolley, he will always say "I pull lah", even when the trolley is super heavy and we girls are holding on bags of other stuff, he will insist on taking as much as he can without complains. Oh and Tingyuen too. So throughout the year, whenever we went grocery shopping, we're almost always either empty-handed or at most with a very light bag. Thank you :') And also thank Tingyuen for letting us laugh like mad with the bangla jokes! HAHA!

Oklah. Now, I am moving to Brunswick, Flo to Hugesdale and the boys to Lygon. I am gonna miss every one of them. That is for sure :) Thank you guys for everything throughout the last year. Thank you guys so much :)

Three Quarters.

Three quarters. Done with 3 and down to 1.
The excitement is too much to handle, its so hard to study now.

Every emotion that I feel this week.
And I guess all pharmacy students are working very hard because most friends around me are sick. I hope they get well soon! I know how shitty it feels to be having your exams when you're sick. And worse, being sick when the holiday starts. Lol. Take care! :)

And I've started paying my sleep debt. ITS TOO EARLY TO PAY BACK NOW! But then again, my body refuses to start working after 4 hours of sleep. Nowadays, I can't wake up unless I sleep a full 6 or 7 hours. Spent too much time sleeping. Aduei!

Anyways, I am looking forward to Thursday! Rotten morning (exam) but definitely a busy day out :D Last paper of the semester! (also the 2nd hardest paper of the semester!) Let's finish this! >:)

The Day.

Having my exams in less than 4 hours and I am still here blogging. I guess its sort of like "I have no more shits to give" thing.

How many do you have? I have 6. Miraculously, my temper is more than well under control. Instead of losing my temper, I lose my sanity. I can laugh for no particular reason and I get pretty depressed all of a sudden too. The wonder of stress.

The paper I am having later is Pharmacist as Communicators. "All you need is common sense" they say. "And you can just bullshit your way through the paper" said the lecturer. Oh-puh-lease. I have no common sense and I ain't kidding. I hate papers like this because I can study all day and night and still cannot do well. Easily said, I have no talent in crapping. *boo*

Hopefully I am slightly more alert now. I really hope this first paper does not kill me. Please be nice to me! I have Cell Functions tomorrow! That, can really make a student go insane. I really wonder how all those seniors got a HD *orz* I am just aiming for a D and I hope my prep work is up for it.

ALL THE BEST TO ALL MONASH PAC 2ND YEAR STUDENTS!
8 more days till our last paper and also the smell of winter break!

Going MAD.

Here, the amount of paper and files at my study area. I'm super messy during the exams.

This time round, I really studied. I spent days and days and days studying from morning till night. I really don't know how will I react if I still can't achieve the results that I want. I think I'll go mad.

Studying about the nervous system and about all those psychotic drugs are just too overwhelming and making me feel like I'll be a psycho too! And studying about cancer pathology is mutating my brain cells.

I have been waking up at 3-4am to study. When its time for me to wake up, my roommate goes to sleep.  This whole house is a stress-inducer. 4 students, all studying like mad every day. Not only that, I need to find a new place to stay. Have been wasting my time to inspect houses that are not even worth considering. I hate photoshop seriously. The houses look damn nice on the website and when I reached there, it was old, it was dirty, it was disgusting. Although I am pretty desperate to find a place because once my exams are over, I would have to move out asap but I will not let myself suffer living in a place as dirty as those that I've inspected. More stress. More time wasted.

I hope everything will be resolved by end of this month and then I can finally live in peace!
Counting down 4 days till my first paper.
Please be nice to me!

好了。

Done with Semester 1!
Done with ONE SEMESTER ALREADY!
Wow.

Many people started their holidays yesterday because they had their OSCE on Monday. I was one of those unlucky ones who had it today. On a flyday. But honestly, after that test, I really feel like I can fly. The burden! Totally off the shoulders! Now I just have to wait for the results.

Raspberry, Cocoa, Hazelnut, Salted Caramel, Violet & Blueberry and Lavender.

I said to myself I'd buy myself a treat after enduring the torture of week 12 and that I was diligent enough to wake up at 4am to study for the tests. But truth is,

I am a girl.
I like sweet stuff.
And I have unsatisfied cravings.
End of the story.

My first try. I've never had macaroons before because to me, they are Not Worth The Money. But then, when a girl has cravings, she must have it! Lol. Ok, actually not, I can forego my cravings if I really want to but I've decided to let myself off the hook this time. Take it as a sweet ending to my oh-so-shitty semester :D

Holiday starts tomorrow... NOT!
Tomorrow's the first day of SwotVac, in our words, study break. One week later, the real games begin. My last chance to make this semester worthwhile! Must jiayou! :)

I know you miss my big big face! Lol. I'm pretty sure you're planning to slap me xD Had my hair neatly (well, it was neat when I first tied it) tied up for my OSCE because first impression is important! :P And honestly, I am beginning to wonder why the heck did I let my hair cover my eyes last time. Seriously so damn zor-teng when I am studying -__- Like Huey Khim said, last time the prefects wanted us to tie everything up but we never wanted to, rather the hair kena chop off by the "professional" discipline teacher pun tak mau pin. Once we've graduated, we will tie everything up without being told. Was being rebellious that fun? xD

I attended two lectures this week. TWO, you know. Normally I don't even attend a single one. Lol. But anyways, I am here to tell you about something stupid I did. I don't normally attend lectures, I listen to the lecture recordings at home. And normally, I will pause the recordings with my left hand so I can jot down whatever the lecturer said. So, the other day in the lecture theatre, my left hand was tapping away on the table trying to pause the "recording" and I was cursing under my breath wondering why the "recording" won't stop and then I realized that I'm actually listening to the lecture LIVE. Lol!! I felt so stupid for the next 5 minutes -___- An obvious give-away that I don't usually attend lectures. Mehhh..

Okie dokies. I should go and study nao.
Have a great last-day-of-May!
And may June is nice to everyone, especially students who are having their exams :D

Why, Hello.

Saw this on Friday while I was walking home. Its beautiful isn't it? :) I guess most of the time, if you slow down and start observing what's around you, you'll find all these amazing things :)

An early Happy Birthday to Jiun Kai :)

I've known him since standard 1. Lol. We studied in the same class for 6 years, then Kwang Hua, then Taylor's and now, we're doing Pharmacy at Monash. Haha. I was never really close to him, we don't really talk much, especially after primary school. We just acknowledge each other's presence in school. But now, at least better lah. Haha. Can talk can laugh. He's the most studious one amongst the 3 of us in the house. Which is pretty good because it gives me indirect pressure. Lol. "HD student studying downstairs! What are you doing TZH?!" Seriously, I really do think like that some times xD A "thank you" to him for helping the both of us so much throughout the past year as housemates and it was nice to have a friend to talk about the old school days :)

Happy 20th Birthday :) Hope you enjoyed the simple dinner and the cake from Xinyi. Stay sweet with Sharon! Haha! :D

This was what we had.
Expensive mamak. Lol. Maggi goreng was $11.50 and roti tisu was $9.50. No, I did put the decimal properly, it is NINE dollars and FIFTY cents. Ohmypocket. The most expensive mamak ever! But also the cleanest mamak ever. Lol. I asked Huey Khim to guess the price of the roti tisu, she said $2. In your dreams, Ah Khim!!! Hahaha!

Eating out is definitely awesome - good food! Paying is pretty awesome too - never failed to cry at the amount. Lol. I guess I should learn how to tell my tummy to say NO to eating out and eat healthier at home.

Anyways, until next time :)

Week 10.

Counting down the days till my finals. Idk how many times I have to say this, but time flies! Faster than a rocket or maybe a shooting star!

Just finished my test and sitting comfortably in front of the computer, still wearing my 'go out' clothes. I'm used to changing out of my outing clothes once I reach home but no, not today. Its too cold to change! Yesterday, it was so cold that I didn't even want to get a bath. Of course I did had a bath in the end but still! I am seriously wondering how did I survive last winter. I know winter in the land down under is not as cold as what they have up above but we still have negatives, max is -5 degrees at night. And no, we don't have snow, we have hail if you want. Lol. Cold OR rain I can take, but not cold + rain + strong winds!

So, besides eating, another thing on my to-do list when I go back to Malaysia: Buy more winter clothes. I thought whatever I bought last year was sufficient. I was stupid. It will be enough if I bundle myself into a snowman like what I did last year. No, I don't want to look like that any more! I look like a teenager that is trying really hard to fit in. Wearing the same shabby clothes everyday. The horror. No more!

Having an important oral exam in two weeks. It is worth 40%. And I realized that it is really similar to St John's short case. Lol. I will be given a scenario and 3 minutes to digest it all, then I have 7 minutes to counsel/settle the case. I have to make sure the patient (who might be rude/impatient/angry/stubborn/persistent etc.) walk out of the pharmacy happily. I guess I should really start practising, especially my spoken English. Don't later har, I go and talk to der patient in Malaysian English ahhh. Then I reli chiak lat liao. Lol.

Now, where is my mum?! Grr.. Told me to call her and yet she is not picking up the phone. Y U NO pick up? Sadness :( Fine, I shall study for tomorrow's presentation instead!

P/s. I realized a chunk was missing from my last post. Now added. Haha!

Busy Saturday.

Had a really really buzzy day today. I'm really impressed at myself for being able to actually fit all this into one single day. *proud!* Hahaha!

Woke up at 7.30am and studied for a while before heading out to do our weekly grocery shopping in the city. Spent about 1.5 hours grocery shopping and went back home to sort the stuff. After sorting, I had to rush out and meet Trang for our first house inspection (oh gawd, that place SUCKS! Old and dirty and CREEPY!). Right after the house inspection, I had to show Trang the way to my house since she wants to visit, so I had to go home another time only to rush out AGAIN to meet up with my tutorial mates for brunch in the city - walking distance from where I did my grocery shopping earlier this morning.

From left - Nasyikah, Shanice, Yen Jun and me!
Awesome people, awesome food! @Fraus, West Melbourne. The price was considerably okay because we all shared :)

NEXT.
Right after our brunch date, I had to rush back to my house and meet up with Trang again to go for our second inspection - this house is so much nicer than the first one but its too far from the nearest tram stop. It's too dangerous to walk home at night :/ So... Nope, it just won't work. *sighs*

Second inspection done. Went back home. Before I could even browse through Twitter and Instagram, Jiunkai said "ZHIHAN!! We have to go join the 511 demonstration at Fedsquare!" Okay, then we rushed out once again, where? To the city, again.

4.30pm at Federation Square. All the Malaysians wearing black. But to be honest, I want to know, how many of them actually came here because they want to protest? How many of them came here because they want their face to appear in Facebook?

To be honest, I don't have much to comment about who won and who lost. I am not that politically inclined. At first, I didn't understand why everyone is so worked up about them losing. Another confession, I was annoyed when I saw all the black profile pictures and all the election fraud info on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram or wherever. I mean, what the hell can you change by doing all these? You change NOTHING. What I thought was, so what if they had another election? The same party will still win! They have ways to win once, they can win twice. No problem. But that was before I got to know what happened. I knew about the influx of Banglas into Malaysia for the election but I didn't know about what happened that actual day. That's what changed my perception. What I don't agree on is the method they used to win the election. They should be thinking of ways to win the people's heart, not trying to channel money into their own pockets. No, this I cannot agree. I did not manage to join the 508 demonstration because I only knew about it when it started. I got to know about this one yesterday. Last minute plans.

Going back to the picture on top, when I took it, I saw only FOUR people who are really worth the praise. Out of all these people, only FOUR of them sat there in silence while holding their propaganda. These FOUR did not talk, did not take pictures, did not play with their phone THROUGHOUT the TWO hours. And the FOUR of them, I can see "I WANT TO KILL HIM" in their eyes. Lol. Seriously, they look as if they were gonna kill you-know-who. I am really impressed by how the four guys took this so seriously. *salutes!* Some others, were just there for the photos. So many girls sat there, camwhoring like mad. STUPID. And when photographers came, they posed like models. HA-HA. When Jiunkai, Xinyi, Tingyuen and I sat down. We did not play with our phones, we did not take a single picture, I can't say that we didn't talk but we had minimal discussion. I don't find the need to come here if you are just planning to play a fool with it. But that's my opinion of course. If you feel offended, sorry. If you feel that I am talking about you? Too bad, I am not directing this at anybody. But if you still think that I am, well, then it means that you must have done something wrong, isn't it?

Lastly, after the demonstration, we went for some Korean food. Again, awesome people accompanied by awesome food. Overeating twice in a day. So much for slimming down, so doomed. Mehh. Nice catch-up session. Funny how we were all from different classes, different co-curricular units, different group of friends in Kwang Hua and still are able to talk about our teachers, friends and the good-old days in Kwang Hua :)

And.. I finally got home at 9pm. Mentally and physically exhausted. But I guess it was a day well-spent? Haha! To make it even more well-spent, I must finish at least one lecture recording before I go to bed. Need to start working on my studies again. Another test is coming up in 4 days and presentation in 5. Week 10 nao.

Exactly a month till my final exams!
A month and 9 days till the start of my winter break! :D
